Here at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church, you will be included, valued, and embraced for all of who you are! At our inclusive community of faith, you are welcome.
At Greenwood Forest, we want to be an inclusive community of faith. But what do we mean by that? It means we want to welcome, affirm, and include your whole self—inclusive of everyone’s diversity of genders, sexual orientations, races, ethnicity, nationalities, ages, and abilities. We want you to belong and have a place in this church and that means no one is barred from participation or leadership on the basis of their identity.
We also know many churches have not been welcoming places for everyone, especially to LGBTQ people. We know even more churches have been unclear whether they’re truly welcoming or not. That’s why we want to be abundantly clear about where we stand and that we are always aiming to be better and more inclusive of all God’s people. Clarity is reasonable and responsible, which is why we allow Church Clarity to assess our policies. We are proud to say that everyone can serve in leadership, be ordained, and get married at Greenwood Forest inclusive of their sexual orientation and gender identity.
If you have any questions about accommodations or inclusivity, please feel free to contact the church office at 919-467-0481 or email info@gfbccary.org and we will get back to you as soon as possible with answers to any questions you may have.
