There are many communities and ministries to get involved in at Greenwood Forest! Check out this overview below and fill out the contact form if you'd like more information.
Music
Our primary musical ensemble is the Sanctuary Choir who sing each Sunday during Worship. We also have occasional ensembles for hand bells, praise music, as well as children and youth music.
Small Groups
Our small groups serve a variety of ages and interests, chiefly meeting on Sunday mornings before worship. Some do book studies while others focus on the Scripture read in worship. We also frequently combine groups for church-wide studies.
Community Organizing
Greenwood Forest Baptist Church builds power to create change as part of ONE Wake, a broad-based community organizing group dedicated to the well-being of its membership and community.
Neighborhood Missions
We help meet material needs with various partners, from hosting recovery meetings and other non-profit groups to collecting and packing food for our local elementary schools.
Children's Ministry
Our K-5 children meet in the Wonder Room, a discovery-oriented space, every Sunday morning to engage in play, reading, art, and learning. Younger children gather in the Rainbow Room during Faith Formation and Worship for care and play.
Youth Ministry
Our youth meet in their Youth House, a special room designed by them, for games, discipleship, and community. The youth group also takes special retreats and trips throughout the year, including during the summertime.
