Does the Corn Maze and Fall Retreat require a permission slip???

Do I need a permission slip for Corn Maze or Fall retreat? YOU BET.

October 30 – snack lunch (12:30), then corn maze, then helping with trunk or treat. (if you are helping only with Trunk or Treat at 4:00 you do not need a permission slip for that).

November 4-6 Fall Retreat to Ft Caswell – ** also need a signed permission form for this one **

Basically anything off campus requires a permission slip, and if the trip is out of state, it also requires that that form is notarized (not applicable for this the October/November events)- here is where you find the form:

What is Snack Supper (info for Supper providers)

Youth Snack Supper Calendar

It’s time to dust off those pizza pans and crock pots. Please sign up once as a PROVIDER on our Youth Snack Supper Calendar. The PROVIDER will be responsible for organizing and purchasing the food, preparing and serving the food, and cleaning up after the meal. A member of the Youth Snack Supper Committee (as well as Alpha Omega leaders) will be there to help you. If you have a conflict with your particular dates, please contact Tricia Jones (460-0437; wpjonesnc@gmail.com; wpjones@bellsouth.net). Listed below are things you need to know or may have been wondering about regarding our Youth Snack Suppers.

What’s New:

  • Youth will contribute $4.00 towards the cost of the meal this year to help defray the Provider’s costs.
  • For those nights when a parent volunteer has not signed up to provide, we will have a Monthly Menu Rotation where a Youth Snack Supper Committee member will provide. Menus for this rotation include:
  • Quizno’s or Subway; chips; dessert
  • Pizza; vegetables and dip (and/or fruit); dessert
  • Chicken tenders; salad or vegetables and dip (and/or fruit); dessert
  • Mac and Cheese ; salad or vegetables and dip (and/or fruit); dessert

What’s the Same:

  • We will provide approximately 20-25 Youth Snack Suppers per year.
  • Reminder calls will be made on Wednesday the week before your scheduled date. We will try to let you know what was served at the Snack Supper on the previous Sunday and also how many to prepare for on your scheduled Sunday.
  • Snack Suppers begin at 6:00pm. A member of the Youth Snack Supper Committee will be there at 5:00pm to unlock the Paper Products cabinets and help out or answer any questions you may have.
  • Paper plates, bowls, cups, napkins, forks, spoons, tablecloths, Country Time lemonade mix (and drink container), ice, two tables and trash bags are provided by GFBC. Many different groups use our Youth Kitchen, and it may not be “safe” to use leftover condiments in the refrigerator, such as mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup or salad dressing. Please provide your own and take home any remaining condiment or food.
  • If you need ideas of what to prepare, ask a Youth Snack Supper Committee member.
  • Trash needs to be taken out on Sunday night after the Youth Snack Supper. The trash dumpster is located near where the vans are parked.

Thank you for choosing a date and participating in our Youth Snack Supper Program. Our youth really appreciate this special treat each Sunday night.
